Keane Waiting on Edwards Ahead of Palace Trip Fri 20th Aug 2010 14:08
Town boss Roy Keane is waiting on the fitness of midfielder Carlos Edwards ahead of Saturday’s trip to Crystal Palace. The Trinidadian is close to a return from his groin injury, but Grant Leadbitter is set to miss out due to the ankle problem he sustained in last week’s 1-1 home draw with Burnley.

Goals from Gareth McAuley, Carlos Edwards and Connor Wickham took the Blues to a 3-1 win at Derby and up to 13th in the Championship. McAuley slammed in his second goal in two games in the third minute, Edwards adding the second on 80, two minutes before Rob Hulse pulled one back. Rams midfielder Stephen Pearson was shown a straight red card for foul and abusive language before Wickham sealed the result in injury time.
